Cake butterfly and flower card plus Neat and Tangled card

I feel very ill so I'm just going to post this quickly.  The top slider gift card card is totally made with Lawn Fawn products.

I used Neat and Tangled's Better Together stamp set to make this baby.

Things that fly

I created this card for the "Things that fly" SSS Mon Challenge.  The butterflies are from my Cameo, the sentiment is from a Lawn Fawn set, and the graffiti background is hand drawn.

Happy 7th Birthday Lawn Fawn!!!

Happy 7th Birthday Lawn Fawn!!!  Yes, its true, Lawn Fawn is turning 7!  I think I have been stamping with them for six years now.

As per the inspiration photo below, I have made this card.  (Note the candles on the cake.)  The paper is from an old Lawn Fawn 6 x 6 pack and (of course) all the stamps are Lawn Fawn.  :)

Party on, party animals!! :)

riding by ... to say hi!

I used Dreamerland Crafts' Riding with my pal stamp to create this card.  The letters are from a Memory Box die set and the patteren paper between the white A2 card front and the front panel is from Lawn Fawn.  I added a background to the stamp image for a storybook look.  I also thought the text helped with this look.  Inside it says: to say hi!

Neat and Tangled Rainbow Card

I created this by painting a watercolour rainbow in a circle and then adding water droplets and then painting black watercolour over top when it was dry.
The stamp and sentiment are from Neat and Tangled's Origami Map stamp set.

Printed Background with Dreamerland Crafts' Happiness Is Stamp

Today I am showing a card I made with Dreamerland Crafts Happiness Is stamp and a printed background.  To find out how I created the print go here.  Next I sponged over some distress ink and spritzed with water.  Then I added pink lines with my Wink of Stella pen, white paint splatters, and stamped the words loved and charming in black VersaFine ink.  When I stamped with the VersaFine I first stamped on a scrap piece of paper to get off the extra ink.

I finished by colouring the Happiness Is image from Dreamerland Crafts and then I added dollar store washi tape, ribbon from American Crafts, pearls, gems, and a sentiment from Lawn Fawn's On the Mend stamp set.  I put a layer of craft foam between the card front and the panel for support (it goes through the mail better then foam squares).  I attached the panel to the card front with Be Creative tape.

Here are the two cards side by side.  I used an overly inky job one the left one to create the background print on the right one.

Sugar Pea Sketch

I create this A2 card by cutting a slightly smaller panel then the card front and running it through my Cuttlebug with an Cuttlebug embossing folder.

I adhered this, along with two strips of patterned paper and a strip of American Crafts ribbon to the card front.  Then I stamped a Tim Holtz sketch nautical stamp onto a die cut circle and glued this and three sequins to the front.  Lastly, I added the lawn fawn sentiment from the Critters on the Savanna set, along with a black dash line around the boarder.

Mixed Media with Dreamerland Crafts "Happiness Is" Stamp

Today I'm used Dreamerland Crafts' "Happiness Is" stamp.  The little girl is sitting on some logs in the stamped image but I thought it would be fun to cut out the logs and have her sit on some ribbon instead.  This is another steller image from Dreamerland Crafts.  I love this image.  The girl is super sweet and who doesn't love kitties??

To create this background I die cut a rectangle just a bit smaller then my 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card front.  Then I put down red and white striped washi tape here and there; after, I took a stencil (any one will do) and covered the background in white embossing paste. I let this dry overnight.  Then I covered the background in bronze paint, letting the washi tape show through here and there.  When the bronze was dry I added pink, blue, and mint Martha Stewart craft paint.  I was sure to let some of the bronze and washi tape show through.  I then took my distress reinkers: picked raspberry, evergreen bough, peacock feathers and broken china and dropped them here and there, moving the paper around to create the desired effect.  I left this overnight.  It didn't dry.

There was much to much ink on the paper to dry at all, so I took another piece of paper the same size, sandwiched the pieces together and ran then through my Cuttlebug embossing machine.  I ended up with a second background (which was dry) and the original (still a bit wet).  I added clear embossing powder the original and heat set it.  This gave it beautiful shine and saved my fingers from becoming discolored.

The last touch to the background was adding the words: enchanting, charming and loved in VersaFine pigment ink.  Since, pigment ink stays wet for some time I added clear embossing powder to these words and heat set them for a fun effect.  I added some old Amy Tangerine ribbon with some black and white twine and the coloured Dreamerland Crafts' "Happiness Is"image.

I'm very pleased with the way the background came out.  You can see the detail in these photos.

Lastly, I added the sentiment (from an old MFT stamp set) and the sequins (from Micheals).
Hope you are enjoying Spring!!  :)  We are waiting for our crocus to arrive.  (So are the squirrels- they enjoy eating the bulbs!)

Dreamerland Crafts "Always got your back" in pink

I created this card with Dreamerland Crafts' new "Always got your back" stamp.  The bkg stencil and the sentiment are from SSS.  I love all the sweet pastels on this card!  :)
